Landesbausparkasse (LBS) Group Signs Deal with Phoenix
- Aims to boost customer service and productivity

March 2001 - LBS Group, Germany's largest building society, has signed a major contract with Dublin based Phoenix Technology Group and German partner CENIT AG Systemhaus. The contract is for the supply of a customer content management system, which is designed to boost customer service and productivity. LBS Group have selected the Phoenix flagship product, the Integrated DeskTOP (IDT).

"LBS chose the IDT standard packaged solution because management believes that adopting a packaged implementation combines low risk with proven technologies," said Dieter Heymann, a member of the LBS Board of Directors. "In addition, the packaged approach offers continued improvement of the solution driven by product enhancements which will keep pace with market and technological advancements."

"This is an important win for us, one of our key advantages is our experience gained from over fifteen similar implementations across Europe," commented Brigid Walsh, European Business Development Manager, Phoenix Technology Group. "The IDT is recognised as a leading content management and e-service solution by major institutions in the retail financial sector throughout Europe. This deal with LBS reinforces our position as a market leader"

By choosing Phoenix IDT, LBS aim to empower their business managers with the flexibility to configure and control their work procedures, distribution / allocation rules and resources through a user-friendly desktop.

The Phoenix solution will enable LBS to manage high volume transaction relationships with customers regardless of the media format they choose to use. Phase one of the implementation will support document capture, this functionality can be extended to include email, fax and telephone. The IDT will provide staff with 'decision support' and 'case management' facilities and enable supervisors to balance work across the enterprise. LBS will achieve increased productivity of over 30% and enhanced customer service because users will have a single view of each customer thus enabling them to handle more tasks at first contact. With multiple access to documents across departments reduction in operational costs will also be a key benefit.

Phoenix is a premier FileNET Partner. The IDT will be built on FileNET's Panagon product set and a suite of components. Phoenix has also established a strategic partnership agreement with CENIT to distribute the IDT within Germany. Phoenix and CENIT work jointly on Sales and Marketing activities throughout Germany.
