Dublin, November 2003... Phoenix Technology
Group today announces the successful rollout of FileNet's
Image Services to Canada Life Europe's newly integrated
Irish and German businesses.
Canada Life Irish Holding company with its
subsidiaries Canada Life Assurance Ireland and Canada Life Europe,
has almost 350,000 policy-holders and over 1,000 people working
within the company across Germany and Ireland. The new solution
delivered by Phoenix creates a single virtual working environment
across these multiple locations.
Phoenix worked with Canada Life to roll the solution
out to Irish and German offices, upgrading their FileNet Image
Services solution and allowing it to work with a third party life
and pensions administration system, all in a Citrix environment.
Phoenix consultancy and integration skills ensured that the
infrastructure and architecture was capable of taking on the
additional volumes and users.
According to Denis Sharry, the Senior IT Manager in
Canada Life responsible for the project, "Phoenix designed and
delivered a solution allowing us to exploit our existing business
applications using Citrix. The new solution is geared towards
accessing files quickly and easily from a central repository
regardless of location and therefore greatly improves employee
efficiency".
Mr. Sharry added "The entire solution was delivered
from start to finish in three months, performance of the modified
application has been exceptional, surpassing that of the original in
the client-server system in many cases".
