An application designed to identify
upcoming problems on mission critical systems and servers,
allowing system administrators to take action before outage
occurs- increasing management efficiency and significantly
reducing costs.
Dublin, Tuesday 06 April 2004
Phoenix Technology Group today announces
a strategic alliance with CENIT AG Systemhaus to market
their 'Tivoli Plus for FileNet' (Tivoli Plus) and 'Application
Manager for FileNet P8' (PAM), two solutions for the efficient
management of mission-critical FileNet environments.
The applications not only register problems
that occur, but also identify upcoming problems, enabling
the system administrator in charge to take necessary action
before any outage occurs. The benefits include increased
management productivity and availability, directly resulting
in improved service fulfillment and significant cost savings.
Tivoli Plus and PAM enable system administrators
to:
Monitor mission-critical FileNet servers,
applications, databases, ELOG logfiles and OSAR/MSAR devices,
thereby pro-actively managing all components.
Automate routine administration tasks, e.g.
starting/stopping FileNet environments and performance analysis
Tivoli Plus has been successfully installed
in large European customers sites, particularly in the insurance
and financial services sectors. Tivoli Plus is specifically
designed for existing Tivoli users who wish to manage their
FileNet implementation. PAM provides the same functionality
for non-Tivoli environments.
"Phoenix has been working in partnership with
CENIT for a number of years selling Phoenix m2 e2 product
set in Germany, and we are delighted to extend the relationship
with this reciprocal agreement", said Brenda Reilly, Sales
and Marketing Director for Phoenix. "The new products will
provide huge savings for both large and small FileNet customers
and we are very excited about the potential opportunities.
The solution will also enable Phoenix to offer a greater
level of support to our customers when they use the new
products."
Roland Merkt, Head of Systems Management,
CENIT is equally pleased with the new agreement, "Working
with Phoenix is an ideal opportunity for CENIT to develop
new opportunities outside of the German marketplace. Phoenix
has all of the FileNet skills required and were an obvious
choice as a partner for this new offering in the UK and
Irish marketplace." Stephan Van Herck, Senior Vice President,
EMEA, FileNet added, "This initiative has provided an important
opportunity to work with our ValueNet partners. They have
been able to contribute considerable value-add, improving
service and reducing costs for the benefit of our customers."
